Gadget Journal entry

My gadget that I will create is a hoverboard. It will look like a skateboard, except it will have three hovering mechanisms on the bottom and it will have straps like a snowboard on top of the board so you won’t fall off. The hoverboard will come in many different designs and colors as well.

The hoverboard will be able to do many things that a skateboard and a snowboard can do. It will be able to go on pavement and jump off ramps like a skateboard. While it will also be able to go down a mountain like a snowboard. You will be able to do some tricks on it, but you won’t have a huge variety that you will be able to do right away since no one has mastered the sport.

The hoverboard will be able to hover, because of the hovering mechanisms on the bottom of the board.  You will be able to steer the board by leaning to each side, just like a skateboard. The board will have a kill switch on the top of the board, so that when you want to get off you won’t have to try to jump off a hovering board

The board will benefit people by inventing a new sport for people to do. It could also possibly be a new X-games sport as well. The hoverboard will the next big thing out on the market, so it could help the economy as well. It will also get out kids out of trouble, because they’ll be too busy using their brand new hoverboard. So as you can see the hoverboard will be the next great invention.

Spring Break

    This spring break my family didn’t go anywhere special, but I did do a couple of things. First off we visited my grandparents in Estevan for a day,  we had a big turkey supper there. Another thing that I did was work a couple days at my new job in Estevan, I had to learn how to do everyday things at the store which was complicated at the time but now it is very easy to do. I also went to the movies with friends on spring break, we went to see the new need for speed movie.

   What I wished I could do is go to Florida. I wanted to go to Florida for many reasons, one reason is that the weather is nice there. The weather is nice and warm compared to Saskatchewan which still has snow and days that are -20. Another reason that I would want to go to Florida is that there are a lot of things to do there. There is Disney World, Sea World and many other big name places to go.

  Another thing that you can do in Florida, is that you can go watch NHL hockey there.  They even have a playoff team there so it would be good hockey too.  They also have many beaches in Florida so if you want to just relax on the beach you can do that too. Those are the reasons why I want to go to Florida.

• A.Your digital footprint is anything that you post on the internet or anything that gets posted about you.
• Q. What are some ways to negatively and positively impact your digital footprint?
• A. Some ways it can negatively impact you is if you post photos of you passed out drunk, doing illegal drugs, engaging in questionable actions and so on. It can positively impact you if you post your achievements and successes so that employers know your talents.
• Q.What did you discover when you Googled yourself? List some of the Google results you found. Was there anything that surprised you?
• A. I discovered my facebook and twitter pages.  There wasn’t anything that I found that surprised me.

Monster Exchange

This is a cat with a poka dotted body and it also has wings. ( So that it can finally catch a bird). It also has a yellow neck and a pink face. It has very skinny legs so that it can fly very fast through the arctic winds of Antarctica.

– Were you able to describe your monster well enough so that your partner could successfully re-create your drawing? Explain.

I was able to describe well enough that he got the main idea, but I could’ve put some more little details so that he could draw it better.

– What difficulties did you experience while trying to describe your monster?

I didn’t know what details I needed to include in the description.

– What difficulties did you experience while trying to re-create your partner’s monster?

He didn’t put a lot of details so I had to make up some of the body by myself.

– What importance did effective communication play in this activity?

You needed to communicate effectively, or else you wouldn’t draw anything close to their original drawing

– How can you make sure that you communicate effectively in your life? To your friends and family? To your teachers? To your current or future employers or co-workers?

You have to make sure that you include all the details of the situation or else they wont understand fully.
